Al-Noury Facilities

Alnoury hospital has standard capacity sizes of basic amenities and equipment of a hospital (3 consulting rooms, over 10 private rooms, 2 general wards, an operation theatre, labor room, laboratory, pharmacy, registry and cash office, voluntary counseling and testing center and a hospital board room). This standard is not far from any standard hospital within Kano and its environ.

These departments are fully functional at the moment, aside the needs for replacement of some important equipment which already being deliberated by the Management Board through the advocacy committee.

Others include large generator (Mikano), Taghuna and petrol generators. Two vehicles and a motor bike all of which are currently functional.

Doctor's Coverage and Patient's Turnover

The hospital is covered by qualified doctors and other health professionals throughout the hours of the day and night and this has led to a progressive rise in the patronage of the hospital. Presently the hospital has over 5,000 patients on government retairnership scheme and many family retainership. In addition over 1,700 clients are now fully registered with Alnoury hospital for HIV and TB care. Other individual files are over 8,000. This has lessened the usual dependence on external donations for sustenance of the hospital and is currently providing modest self-sustaining sources of income to the hospital. In the last 5 years the hospital had offset all liabilities and has consistently met its obligations including staff salaries and entitlements
