Alnoury hospital has been functioning as a multidisciplinary health facility offering primary care (general outpatient consultation, treatment of minor ailments and injuries, general health check-ups and secondary care (general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, physicians, obstetrics and gynecology). Currently the hospital runs all the major specialty clinics, including antenatal and fertility clinics by visiting consultants from Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (at least once/week) and at special needs. These specialty services have grown steadily from inception till date. The hospital operates an average of about 2 major surgeries per week with excellent patient outcomes.
Alnoury hospital has vast experience in partnering with several NGO’S (Local and International) in implementation of project with objectives majorly on infectious disease prevention and control. Example of the NGO’S we have partnered with in the past include;
Presently the hospital has TB-HIV patient load of about 1200 enrollees and is actively involved in implementation of projects focused on control of HIV and TB through partnership with CHEMONICS/IHVN, KNCV, GLOBAL FUND-Kano TB, Leprocy and Buruli ulcer control programs. By virtues of these collaborations we do a lot of community outreach and home visits.
Other NGO with similar objectives such as GIOPINEE and Save the Children rely on Alnoury hospital for data collection and easy access to patients
